Jan H. Beumer, PharmD, PhD was awarded a new National Cancer Institute (NCI) contract for Preclinical Drug Development Research. The NCI contract is one of only three in the nation. The research conducted under task orders in the contract support the development of new cancer medications.
Beumer will conduct preclinical pharmacology research to support preclinical and clinical trials and to define the most effective means of drug delivery. This NCI award makes Beumer’s group eligible for up to $9.9 million in task orders over five years.
Beumer is an full professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
