Faculty member, Jim Coons, recently completed the ACCP Professional Leadership Development (APLD) Program. The class of 20 ACCP members was selected as the inaugural cohort to prepare participants for service as leaders within ACCP as well as the profession. At the ACCP Annual Meeting, Coons also gave an invited presentation during the general session, Antiplatelets, Anticoagulants, and Adverse Effects, Oh My! Antithrombotic Therapy Controversies in Clinical Practice. The title of his talk was, “Anticoagulation Controversies in the Setting of Obesity and/or Liver Disease.”
